PTSDate by Bumble
Most interactions on dating apps are superficial and shallow, making it difficult to form deeper connections. But research shows, deeper connections are formed when two people share a traumatic experience.
Introducing PTSDate, a virtual dating experience that harnesses the power of AI and spatial technology to simulate traumatic scenarios based on shared fears.

HOW IT WORKS
We’ll optimize Bumble’s existing features and prompt users to enter their deepest fears as a conversation starter on their profile. This will be a new criteria to make matches.
During the PTSDates, Bumble will capture digital photostrips and postcards for users to reminisce on their uniquely fear-based date.
These digital keepsakes will be shared on social media to spread the word.
Once a match over similar fears is made, users can select to go on a virtual first date using an existing VR set or at VR bars at Bumble hive pop-ups across the country.
For those who aren’t on the app yet, we’ll promote PTSDate near popular first date hangouts — highlighting the universal first date fears that pale in comparison to the presets of PTSDate.
