APPA ALWAYS GETS HIS 8 HOURS
We knew Appa, everyone’s favorite flying bison, could drum up excitement for Netflix's live action reboot of "Avatar: The Last Airbender." So, we teamed up with digital artist @Shutterauthority to dream up Appa in the real world.
Known for his endless snoozing, we decided to bring Appa and his endearing/annoying trait into the real world.
HONK IF YOU LOVE APPA
In our first release, we caught Appa catching some Z's in the middle of San Francisco’s Junipero Serra freeway. It was a hit, racking up 54 million TikTok views in just under a week, with fans engaging at a rate of 23%.
NAPS AND THE CITY
Next up, we caught a groggy Appa waking up on a midtown NYC rooftop. Appa's fluffy fur cascaded down onto passengers, adding an extra dash of realism and sparking chatter about allergy season.
… and it worked
With both posts combined, we hit a grand total of 65 million organic views across Instagram and TikTok within a week — delivering a media exposure value of $2.6 million.
